Its highly workable formula is designed for vertical, horizontal, and overhead applications and mixes with water only—no additional admixtures required. Recommended Applications

Designed specifically for adhered masonry veneer installations, MVIS™ Builders Veneer Mortar is well suited for natural cut stone, manufactured stone, thin brick, and other approved veneer materials.

Ideal for residential and multi-family construction, including exterior facades, interior feature walls, fireplaces, architectural accents, and other veneer applications where strong, dependable adhesion is essential.

Coverage & Application

Coverage varies depending on the veneer material, substrate, trowel size, and installation method. A 50 lb bag provides approximately 40–47 SF of coverage when using a 1/2" × 1/2" notched trowel.

Apply to a clean, sound, and properly prepared substrate using the recommended installation methods. Suitable substrates include concrete, concrete block/CMU, cement mortar, approved cement backer board, and select interior substrates.

Mix with clean water according to manufacturer instructions. Follow applicable LATICRETE MVIS guidelines for substrate preparation, mortar coverage, curing, and installation requirements.

Storage & Shelf Life

Factory-sealed bags have a shelf life of approximately 2 years when stored in a dry location and kept properly protected and off the ground.
