LATICRETE MVIS™ Lightweight Mortar is a high-performance, polymer-fortified adhesive mortar engineered to deliver superior bond strength, exceptional non-sag performance, and easier handling for demanding veneer installations. Designed for interior and exterior applications, this versatile mortar provides reliable adhesion for thin brick, natural and manufactured stone, masonry veneer, and approved tile installations.

Its lightweight formulation delivers the coverage of a traditional 50 lb mortar in a convenient 30 lb bag, helping reduce lifting and handling on the jobsite without sacrificing performance. A smooth, workable consistency and excellent non-sag properties make it ideal for professional installers working with large or heavy units on vertical surfaces.

Recommended Applications

Designed for professional masonry and veneer installations, MVIS™ Lightweight Mortar is well suited for interior and exterior thin brick, adhered masonry veneer, stone cladding, and approved tile applications.

Ideal for residential and commercial projects, including interior feature walls, exterior facades, fireplaces, architectural accents, and other vertical installations where strong adhesion, non-sag performance, and easier material handling are important.

Coverage & Application

Approximate coverage per 30 lb bag is 60–70 SF when using a 1/4" × 3/8" notched trowel and 40–47 SF when using a 1/2" × 1/2" notched trowel. Actual coverage will vary based on substrate conditions, trowel size, installation method, and material being installed.

Apply to a clean, sound, and properly prepared substrate using the recommended installation methods. Follow applicable LATICRETE MVIS guidelines for substrate preparation, mortar coverage, curing, and installation requirements.

Warranty

MVIS™ Lightweight Mortar may qualify for LATICRETE's 25-Year MVIS System Warranty when installed as part of an eligible system and in accordance with manufacturer requirements.
